Natural Makeup for older women

Natural makeup for older women!

Makeup for older women can sometimes be a bit difficult. As we age our skin starts to wrinkle and sometimes it starts loosing it's natural texture.  Specially around the eye area! (in my mom's case) she never wears makeup, she sometimes wears mascara, lipstick, and a tiny bit of blush! (like her) they are plenty of women who were never used to (daily makeup) And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that, but i do feel that sometimes all that little extra good stuff makes almost anyone feel more beautiful & confident :)

So i did her makeup to test out if individual eyelashes looked less dramatic on her eyes and she would adapt to them better than she did to the full thick looking fake eyelashes! To my surprise she LOVED THEM!!!  I couldn't be anymore happier.lol  I am such a makeup freak and i felt that finally my mom has started to get a little tinny bit of interest in the beauty world.

On to the makeup look:
  1. I did a very soft eye makeup look *bronzed eyes with very long natural eyelashes.
  2. Added bottom individual eyelashes (they looked so natural)
  3. very contoured cheek bones, forehead
  4. i did had to blend two different foundation colors to find the perfect match for her.
  5. Reshaped her eyebrows!  my mom has very thin short eyebrows due to all the twizzing she has been overdoing for soooooo many year. & i have finally convinced her to start letting them grow :)
  6. For the lips i tried two different colors a pinkish look & a redish look, she loves red/brown lipsticks. so she went for the darker look .

* If you are doing makeup for older women make sure not to overdue the eye makeup colors!

THE EYES :)
Bottom eyelashes (Don't they look super natural)
 Pinkish lips!
 Dark reddish lips!

How to find a perfect foundation for your skin tone & skin type

Hello Gorgeous ladies :)
Today i will be talking to you guys about a very important topic which is
HOW TO FIND A PERFECT FOUNDATION FOR YOUR SKIN TONE & SKIN TYPE.
i always get so many questions regarding this topic, & to be honest it appears as if there is some kind of misconception about makeup. It doesn't matter whether your skin tone is too pale, yellowish, red, tanned or too dark. I have done so much research & tried to learn the most i can regarding FOUNDATIONS! yet, i don't know it all. but i do want to share with all my amazing subscribers who follow my makeup page and constantly read my blog ALL THAT I KNOW :)  why? because i want everyone to feel & look beautiful on a daily basis. Specially because i am a firm believer that "there is no such thing as an ugly woman" There's only a few ladies out there who don't know that nowadays there's a fix for almost all beauty related problems.
Yes, there is way too many foundations out there & i know that many of you ladies get freaked out by all the brands, price, labels, colors, etc.. But honestly that shouldn't frighten you.  *There is a color for everyone out there! all you have to do is follow 4 simple steps with tons of advice that might be super helpful.
Step 1: Determine your undertone.
Most undertones fall into these categories:
Yellow/Golden
Olive
Pink/Red
Blue
Many cosmetic companies make it easy for consumers by labeling their foundations according to undertone. They may also use Warm/Cool/Neutral as labels as well. Here’s how that would look:
Yellow/Golden (Warm)
Olive (Neutral)
Pink/Red (Cool)
Blue (Cool)
The quickest way for you to figure out your undertone at home would be (in natural light)
a.) Take a good look at your skin to see if one of the colors listed above seems to shine through the most. If you have different undertones in your face than on your neck, go with the ones in your neck. You want your foundation to match your neck. Or you could use two different shades.
b.) Take a look at the veins in your arms–do they look green or do they look blue? If they look green, your undertones are more than likely yellow or golden. If they look blue, your undertones are more than likely pink/red or blue.
c.) Grab a pair of silver and gold earrings. Do the gold ones flatter you more? If so, you’re warm. If the silver pair flatters you more, you’re cool. If you look good in either one, you’re neutral.
d.) Don’t get wrapped up in the misconception that a single racial or ethnic group is always a certain undertone!
Step 2. Determine your skin tone.
Once you’ve found your undertone, next determine your skin tone. You want to try two or three shades in your undertone. In three separate spots on your jawline (as close to your neck as possible), blend the shades and whichever one disappears into your skin (when in natural light) is the winner. If you tend to tan in the warmer months, you may want to get a sample or smaller size of the darker shade to mix in with your normal color to make sure your foundation matches your skin year round. PLEASE do NOT make the mistake of wearing a foundation that is either too light or too dark.

Step 3. Determine your skin type.
Wash your face with a gentle cleanser and let it air dry for 15-20 minutes. How does your face feel? If it feels okay, you more than likely have normal skin. If it feels very taut and dry, you have dry skin. If it feels very moist or oily, you have oily skin. If you’re only oily in the T-zone (forehead and nose) you have combination skin.
Based on your skin type, you need to pick the right foundation formula. Even if you have the right undertone and shade, if you have the wrong formula, your foundation can prove to be tragic! Cosmetic companies make it easy for you by labeling things by skin type, but here’s a rule of thumb:
Normal Skin: Liquids work well, but this type can also wear powder, creme, or mineral formulas.
Dry Skin: Liquids designed specifically for dry skin or creme foundations work well. As do some mineral formulas.

Oily/Combination Skin:
Powder and mineral foundations work best. So do some liquid formulas designed specifically for this skin type.
For all skin types: I recommend getting some Fix+ , it is a must-have item for touching up shine throughout the day without interfering with your makeup.  The fix+ can also be used to turn powder eyeshadows into cream eyeshadows ( great for colorful eyeliner ladies ) .
Step 4: Determine your coverage amount.
If you already have an even complexion with very few blemishes, a lightweight or sheer foundation (or even a tinted moisturizer) will work to enhance your beautiful skin. Or you guys can even try the BB cream This is also a good option for daytime makeup.
Medium coverage works for anyone with skin that needs a little extra help. A good foundation will provide medium coverage, but still look natural. Medium coverage works well for going out, dates, dinner!
Full coverage helps problem skin appear more flawless. The best full coverage foundations provide excellent coverage for troublesome areas, but still look natural. A light hand is necessary for this type. I recommend only using full coverage foundation whenever you feel that your skin is worst, in areas where you need it!
THE PROBLEM: If you don't apply FULL COVERAGE FOUNDATION correctly it WILL look cakey, it has it's tendency to look like a mask when you apply too much & seal it with powder!  I will have a post very soon on my foundation routine Since i do wear full coverage foundation most of the time!

So there you have it!!  a very quick guide to finding a foundation that works for you.
